1Spatial - take the 73p cash offer, shares up 21p to 67.50p

This morning

has announced that it has received a possible cash offer from VertiGIS Ltd, a portfolio company of Battery Ventures, at 73p per share, valuing the company at approximately £87.1m.

This offer represents a significant premium of 57.0% to last night's closing price and has secured support from major shareholders representing 33.8% of the issued ordinary share capital, including irrevocable undertakings for 17.7% and a letter of intent for 16.1%.

The Board of 1Spatial intends to unanimously recommend the offer to shareholders should a firm offer be made, citing the delivery of fair value, acceleration of strategy under private ownership, and a compelling strategic combination with VertiGIS.

My View

Take the 73p cash offer as soon as it goes formal, or even quicker sell into the market, with the shares at 67.50p, so that you can immediately reinvest those funds back into the market.
