I have a gut feeling that something is happening behind the scenes at this £40.7m capitalised company.
Could we shortly be seeing the publication of a useful research note on the Oxford-based integrated circuits chip maker from its recently appointed Joint Broker Panmure Liberum?
Three weeks ago, the group’s shares were down to 34.25p, then up to 40p two weeks later, before easing back down to 36p a couple of days ago.
Yesterday the market saw around 250,000 shares traded, which was slightly higher than the 214,000 average daily volume, with the shares closing at 39p up 2p on the day.
Considering just how well the shares of another of my favourite little companies Filtronics (LON:FTC) have fared within the space sector over the last year or so, I reckon that EnSilica shares could well start to emulate that performance.
It would not surprise me to soon hear of some significant discussions underway with potential ‘partners/clients’ within that sector.
EnSilica is a leading fabless design house focused on custom ASIC design and supply for OEMs and system houses, as well as integrated circuit design services for companies with their own design teams.
The company has world-class expertise in supplying custom RF, mmWave, mixed signal and digital ICs to its international customers in the automotive, industrial, healthcare and communications markets.
The group also offers a broad portfolio of core IP covering cryptography, radar, and communications systems.
Still very early days in this company’s development, so there could well be plenty of time to jump aboard before the shares rocket away in reaction to a plethora of good news.
Obviously still a gamble until more news becomes available, however, I am now putting out another Target Price for the shares – up to 50p – it could be achieved within weeks.
